Access To Music & Liverpool Sound City presents:
The UK Music Student Awards 2012
Continuing in the success of the annual Access To Music Awards Ceremony launched by Sir George Martin, Access To Music has joined forces with Liverpool Sound City to present a suite of national award presentations hosted by BBC Radio1’s Edith Bowman. For over 8 years this unique event has celebrated, identified and supported new talent within music education including the likes of Ed Sheeran. The UK Music Student Awards will take place on 17th May 2012 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. With support from top-flight industry guests from around the world the event will deliver an evening of ‘show-biz’, ‘glitzy’ presentations along the lines of other professional music industry award ceremonies, including international headline guest Professor Green!
No other national music college is giving the stars of tomorrow the amazing opportunity to shine today with recognition directly from the music industry. This again reaffirms that Access To Music is the link between the industry as leading provider of contemporary popular music education.
Pre showcase gig on 18th
Showcasing the best from the UK Music Student Network for a chance to go on Tour!
Access to Music will be giving nearly a 100 of their students bands and artists from around the country the opportunity to be auditioned by a top-flight music industry panel at nine exciting Atom Live regional events. The best will then be chosen to go to Liverpool Sound City the international music, media and technology conference and music festival, on May 18th for the final of the Atom Live National Auditions at Bumper. From this, six very lucky student acts will be selected to go on a 12-date UK tour in June onboard a professional 18-berth tour bus with a tour manager, crew and equipment sponsored by Marshall Amplification! How cool is that?
