Sound City launches with a Bang!
Liverpool Sound City set the agenda at a Faces-filled event.

Liverpool’s great and good in the world of music and media squeezed into a packed Barfly Theatre to witness storming sets from Christian, The Delta Fiasco and Ezra Bang and Hot Machine, topped off by a stunning performance from recent Arctic Monkeys collaborators, The Rascals.

Earlier in the evening Sound City’s Director Dave Pichilingi outlined the vision for the festival, the first of its kind to happen not only in the real world, but simultaneously online in the much talked about virtual world of Second Life. LSC partner in the event, Creative Cultures, have created a Virtual Liverpool which users of the cutting edge social networking site can wander about visiting the venues involved and interacting with the seminars to be held at the brand new Hard Days Night hotel.

Liverpool Sound City will be hosted in some of the City’s most vibrant venues, and also in exciting and interesting spaces not normally associated with live music. Watch this space for more details.
