When is the Festival?

For our tenth birthday we have 4 very special days of live music at our home on Liverpool Waters Clarence Dock.

  • Sound City + our Music Industry Conference takes place on Friday 26th May at Camp & Furnace 

Where is the Festival?

The festival will be taking place at Liverpool Waters Clarence Graving Docks, Liverpool L3 0AN located just outside of the city centre. The postcode for the site is L3 0AN .

When does the Festival start?
Box office will open at 11am each day for wristband collection. The festival gates open at 11:30am each day with the festival programme commencing at 12pm.

Where is Box Office?
Box office is immediately on the left as you enter the festival site via Regent Road.

What does a VIP ticket get me?
A Sound City VIP ticket grants you access to the following:

  • VIP Bar

  • VIP seating area

  • Better toilets

  • More to be announced!

Is there an age restriction on the site?

Yes, Sound City is strictly a 14+  (anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult) event and Sound City strictly adheres to the challenge 25 policy, proof of age may be required and admittance will be refused if not provided. 

What Valid Forms of ID do you accept?
The valid forms of ID are Passport, Photo Driving Licence, PASS Card and Military ID. (If you require a PASS Card visit our FAQ section to find out how to register for one). Anyone found with a fake, or using another persons ID, will be removed from the site with the ID being confiscated.

How do I get there?

By Road
The festival site is located just off Derby Road (A565) by the Titanic Hotel Liverpool just outside of the City Centre. If you are using Sat Nav please use the postcode L3 0AP. Car Parking will be available near the festival site.

By Bus

There are public transport buses from Liverpool City Centre which run to and from the festival regularly throughout the duration of the festival. Plan your journey with Mersey Travel 

By Train

Get there by train with Merseyrail, Sandhills station is just a short walk from Sound City and trains run regularly throughout the day. Enjoy unlimited off-peak travel with a Day Saver from £3.70 for adults and from £1.85 for under 18’s. (Off-peak is after 09.30 Monday – Friday and anytime on weekends and bank holidays). If you're travelling from further afield, we recommend taking a train to Liverpool Lime St station. From there you can walk, catch a shuttle bus or taxi or connect to Sandhills station to get to the festival site. By Taxi

Black Cabs are available all over the City. It is roughly a £6 taxi ride from Limestreet station to the Titanic Hotel (next to the festival site). Please make sure you state it is on the Regent Road Side of the hotel.

Is there Car Parking?
There are car parking facilities near the festival site, these will be signposted when you get near to the site.

Is there a place where I can be dropped off and picked up?
Yes there is a designated drop off/collection point near the festival entrance. Parking is not permitted here.

Is there camping at Sound City?
This festival is a metropolitan festival, there is NO CAMPING options available. 


Is there anything I cannot bring onto the Sound City Site?

  • No drinks or alcohol to be brought in

  • No drugs

  • No weapons

  • No legal highs

  • No fake ID’s 

  • No glass

  • No food

  • No animals, with the exception of registered guide or hearing dogs

  • No flares or fireworks

  • No re-entry on the day.

Management reserve the right to refuse admission

Anyone who does not adhere to these rules will be ejected from the site, no re-entry will be permitted.

When is last entry?

Last entry to the festival site will be 5pm.
