This weekend’s Sound City events in Liverpool will go ahead as planned and we are continually leasing with our security and local police to ensure the safety of our customers. We are certain we will not be defeated by such cowardice. Love will overcome. We ask you to give generously to the justgiving page to help support families of those killed an injured in the Manchester Arena attack. 

To ensure the safety of our customers, searches are in operation and to assist us into getting you onto the site quickly and safely please follow the below instructions:

  • Only bring what you need and don't bring any unnecessary bags
  • Small bags only will be permitted - we have no luggage facilities
  • No ipads, laptops, professional recording equipment or any other electronic items are permitted. Phones are permitted
  • Below are the conditions of entry to the site. Management reserve the right for refusal.

Getting to and from the festival

The festival is held at:

Liverpool Waters Clarence Graving Docks, Liverpool L3 0AN located just outside of the city centre. The postcode for the site is L3 0AN .

 

By foot

The festival site is a 33 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station. Please ensure that you plan your journey back to the city centre or homeStay safe.


By car

Parking is not permitted on Regent Road outside the festival site.

Please note there is no car parking on Saturday and Sunday.

By train

Sandhills station is just a short walk from Sound City and trains run regularly throughout the day. Enjoy unlimited off-peak travel with a Day Saver from £3.70 for adults and from £1.85 for under 18’s. (Off-peak is after 09.30 Monday – Friday and anytime on weekends and bank holidays). Please be sure to check when the last service is to your outbound destination.

If you're travelling from further afield, we recommend taking a train to Liverpool Lime St station. From there you can walk, catch a shuttle bus or taxi or connect to Sandhills station to get to the festival site. Shuttle Service (Saturday & Sunday only)

This service will run from 22:00 - 02:00 and is completely free!

The bus will drop off at Liverpool Lime Street station in the city centre.
 

Welfare

If you feel unwell please head to medical or welfare.

Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water, especially if you are drinking alcohol

Look after your friends and those around you. If you see someone that is unwell please notify a nearby member of security. 

 

General Facilities:

  • Cash Machines - located opposite the Atlantic main stage and to the right of the Sgt Pepper activation.
  • Medical & welfare - located near the main entrance
  • Food - there is a selection of stalls offering a variety of cuisines with vegan & vegetarian options
  • Drink - There is a selection of bars with everything from cold lagers to Prosecco! 
  • Merchandise - this is near the main entrance to the site
  • VIP - there is a VIP area with it's bar and toilets. You can upgrade your ticket to VIP at the box office on the day.

 

After Party

There is an after-party at the Invisible Wind Factory opposite the main entrance to the festival site and the North Shore Troubadour which is next door.  The afterparties will run from 10.30 pm - 3 am on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May.  Your Sound City ticket will gain you access for both events.

 

 

Leave no trace

Please respect the festival site and it's neighbours and use the bins provided. There are plenty of bins located around the site. We will also be running a cup deposit scheme across bars this year to help us cut down waste.
