60 Years…The Beat Goes On

The Cavern Club first opened its doors on the 16th January 1957 as a jazz venue and now firmly stands as  “The Most Famous Club In The World.” The Beatles played here 292 times between February 1961 and August 1963, firmly putting this legendary cellar venue on the musical map. Everyone has played the Cavern; The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Rod Stewart…In more recent years, the likes of Oasis, Travis, Elbow, Adele, Jessie J, Jake Bugg, Joe Bonamassa …the list goes on. The Cavern today is a thriving live music venue celebrating its illustrious musical past whilst very much supporting new artists. The Cavern Club is once again delighted to be involved with Sound City and to be hosting the emerging artists stage.
