New York Sound City Returns!

New York Sound City returns on 11th March 2013, this time taking over Brooklyn with the NYSC Showcase taking place at the Knitting Factory.

The central theme of the New York Sound City will be the notion of British Invasion - how the relationship between New York and Liverpool, two great ports and hotbeds of music and creativity have shaped popular music for generations. A series of panels and seminars examining how the UK has consistently re-interpreted, re-invented and re-packaged subversive US music and culture and successfully sold it back to the American mass market.

This year we are also hoasting a live podcast session with The Anfield Wrap. This Anfield Wrap is the UK's second largest podcast after the Guardian and covers Sport, Music and Culture.

NYSC Showcase 2013

The artists have been announced for the 2013 New York Sound City showcase at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. This year will feature an amazing lineup including The Enemy, Reverend & The Makers, Brodka, The Tea Street Band, KOF and The Verdict.

About New York Sound City

New York Sound City is returning. The 11th March 2013 will see the Wythe Hotel hoasting our international conference. The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn is our venue of choice for the NYSC showcase. More information on our conference will be released in the coming weeks.
