Liverpool Sound City and CIIA (Creative Ideas In Action) are working together once again to create a series of projects for young people interested in a Creative Career called ‘Go Beyond Go Create’
 
We are looking for young people aged 14 – 19 living in Liverpool to join us as we dive into the world of the Creative Industries.  Working in partnership with the Liverpool Sound City, Aimhigher and the Ariel Trust we have put together three projects, all fresh for 2010.
 


If you’re interested in a career in the Music Business, looking to further your experience as an artist/musician/band OR fancy yourself as the world’s next biggest urban artist or dancer then read on. All our projects are free to participate in; all we ask is that you are dedicated, motivated and committed to getting to the end.  No matter what your experience there is something for everyone.
 
‘Broadcasting Futures’  - March – May 2010.
Ever wondered what it takes to run a successful record label, become a lighting technician or manage a band.  Now is your chance to find out.  We are looking for 25 young people to work with us over 10 weeks, to create a series of software programmes and podcasts FOCUSED on careers in the Music Business.  Meet and work with some of the best in the business and get qualified in the process.

In The Mix – Contemporary Urban Workshops - 19th, 20th and 21st May 2010.
Want to develop your skills in DJing, MCing, beat boxing or street dancing but don’t know where to start? Well here is your chance.  In The Mix is a series of activities focused on Contemporary Urban and Hip Hop culture taking place during the Liverpool Sound City festival.  Over three days you will work with professional artists working in the Creative Industries to discover what it takes.  This is an exciting and innovative project that requires dedication, motivation and a real interest in performing.  Whatever your ability this project is open to everyone.

Live Music
Liverpool Sound City are proud to be working with CIIA to promote and develop new and exciting musical talent from our home city of Liverpool. This year to celebrate this ,CIIA will be organising and delivering 3 live musical events which will provide young people  aged 14-19 yrs from Liverpool with the opportunity to show case their musical ability.

We will announce the musicians bands and artists selected to play at the end of February. The bands selected will perform live in front of an audience and panel and the three best bands will play alongside some of the biggest acts in the charts during the Liverpool Sound City festival.
